There are 5 types of espresso makers

  1. Manual lever machines is the most hands on and connected type of espresso machine. The machines are more like tools, you provide the movement and force. Look at the Flair Espresso Press for a great example.
  2. Semi-automatic espresso makers are what you commonly picture and the most popular way for new and casual drinkers to start with home espresso brewing
  3. Super-automatic espresso machines often have a built in grinder and will fill and tamp the coffee basket automatically. You just add beans and water (some can be connected to a water line.) We also review standalone coffee grinders in case your machines doesn’t have one built in.
